The latest information regarding the impact of heavy showers in several parts of the country indicate that around 150,000 people have been displaced due to flood conditions.
Col. K. Ratnayake, the National Coordinator of the Disaster Management Centre said this morning that the most severely affected areas are Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara Districts.
It is also reported that 7 persons have lost their lives due to situations arising from floods and landslides.
